Design discussions

Had lunch on Friday, July 20 with Craig L. Brought BalsamicIQ pdfs.

Many options for the programming:

• CoffeeScript
• processing.js Note - can do 100% processing.org pde, not extra java
• processing in Java
• canvas in HTML5 with node.js could be enough for phone/web app
• dart from google (will it become a stardard? Not yet...)
• Note: issue of client side processing (ie phones), may need to run program on server

Recognized a need for panels

• multiple points
• dot, line, membrane
• 1x, periodic, bounding box
• classical, QM, QFT views
• mirrors for time, space, and spacetime
• Sharing to Tumbr

Guiding principles

Tuffte: no wasted pixels
Few, if any, words.
Feedback is immediate

Discussed gamma matrices:
pre and post multiply by 1, i, j, k. Utterly mixes up time and space.

Craig is super busy, too many side projects as is, but still may be interested in helping with development.
